About Us

The inspiration behind Be Pro Green came to me on a Sunday afternoon while watching a PBS special on a teenager who organized a program to clean up the Mississippi River. I watched this young man receive The Jefferson Award – a community service award comparable to the Nobel Prize – presented by the American Institute for Public Service. As a teen, Chad Pregracke started picking up trash from the Mississippi River. Over a decade, his nonprofit organization (LivingLandsandWaters.org) has pulled over 4 million pounds of garbage from America's rivers. I was moved by the fact that one person could make such a difference.

At the time I held the position of North American Director of Operations for a successful online marketing and advertising company.  I thought to myself, I want to make a difference, but how does a businessperson with a family and a hectic schedule make time to give back to the environment? I knew there were other professionals like myself who were very concerned about the state of the world’s ecosystems but too busy to make it a daily priority for personal action.

Be Pro Green is dedicated to promoting Eco-Friendly Businesses in local communities throughout North America. A portion of all advertising proceeds are donated to a number of environmental charities allowing the local businessperson to advertise their product or service in their community and at the same time make a difference by giving back to the environment.

Remember Always,

Be Pro Green!
